Windows 7 Tips and Tricks - How to Customize Your Shut Down Options

By default, Windows 7 makes the Shut Down button on the Start menu easy to get to, but there are users who rarely shut their computers down completely. If you frequently restart your computer but rarely shut it down, you can customize the Shut Down menu to make it easier to use and more intuitive.

To change the default settings and customize your Shut Down options, just follow these simple steps.
Right-click the Start button
Choose Properties
Click the Start Menu tab
Click the Power Button section and choose the action you want to set as the default
You can adjust this default setting as you wish, making it easier to control the options you see when you need to shut down or restart your Windows 7 computer.
