Windows 7 - How to Enable God Mode

In video games, "God Mode" refers to a cheat or game mechanic that enables the player to become particularly powerful and usually invulnerable. Windows 7 users may laugh when they hear about a "God Mode" feature in their operating system. In reality, however, this hidden feature can be extremely useful for more advanced users.

Activating Windows "God Mode" provides you with a folder where you can access virtually any setting on the computer. It is rather like a far more advanced, expert version of the control panel. While the regular control panel is generally far more user-friendly, the "God Mode" version is useful for more advanced users who want to have a list of everything contained in the control panel in one place. You can safely delete the folder at any time.

To active "God Mode," all you need to do is create a new folder anywhere on your computer. Name this folder to "GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}" without the quotes. The icon of the folder will change to a control panel icon. Inside the folder, you will see a categorized list of settings, tweaks and customizations that you can modify on your computer. It includes everything from uninstalling programs to creating hard disk partitions to changing the desktop background.
