Windows 7 - How to Find Additional Wallpaper and Desktop Themes

By default, Windows 7 installs your wallpaper choices and desktop themes based on the language and the location you use. But Windows 7 contains wallpaper and desktop themes for a myriad of other locations. If you want to see the full range of choices available to you, searching for that hidden cache of backgrounds and desktop themes can open up a whole new world.

To find those hidden international desktop themes and wallpaper choices, just follow these steps.
1. Click the Start button and go to the Search box
2. Type C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT and press the Enter key
3. Review the list of subfolders when Windows Explorer opens
4. Click on each folder to see the wallpaper choices and desktop themes available
Once you have found that hidden cache of desktop themes and wallpaper choices, you can simply go to the appropriate folder and select the ones you want. You can experiment with different themes and wallpaper choices until you have just the look you want on your Windows 7 desktop.
