Windows 7 Tips and Tricks - How to Set the Display Options

Changing the resolution on your monitor can allow you to see more of the screen and make the most of your available workspace. Generally speaking, the larger the monitor you have, the larger the display resolution it can handle. You should, of course, check the specifications listed in the manual to determine which display settings are right for your particular monitor.
Changing the display resolution on Windows 7 is easy. Just follow these simple steps to adjust the display settings for your computer.

1. Click the Start button
2. Choose the Control Panel from the menu
3. Double-click the Appearance and Personalization option
4. Click Adjust Screen Resolution
5. Click the drop-down box next to the Resolution setting and move the slider to the left or right
6. Click Apply to see the affect of your change
7. Click Keep if you want to retain the new settings and Revert if you want to go back to the old one

You can use this technique to experiment with different display settings until you find the one that best suits both your eyes and your monitor.
